1925 - Sidney Vigne, traditional jazz clarinetist from New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on this day. He was born in 1903, and was a promising dixieland musician. He played with the 'Golden Leaf Band', 'Bob Lyon's Dixie Jazz Band' and the 'Maple Leaf Orchestra' in the 1920's. He was killed when he was hit by a truck on Chrismas Eve.
