| 1944 - Joe Walker was born on this day. Singer and multi-instumentalist and native of Lafayette, Louisiana. He played guitar in Rockin' Dopsie's band, and later Rockin' Sidney on a number of singles. His solo debut LP, The Soulful Side of Zydeco, was cut in 1991, and was followed in quick succession by 1992's Zydeco Fever and 1993's In the Dog House. |
