1932 - Maxine Brown was born on this day. A country singer and a native of Campti, Louisiana. She was a member of the successful 1950s trio, The Browns in the 1950's. The Browns scored their biggest hit with their folk-pop single "The Three Bells". Brown had a brief solo career during the late 1960s, releasing a single and an album for Chart Records titled Sugar Cane Country.
