1967 - Wilbert Tillman, traditional jazz saxophonist and trumpeter from New Orleans, Louisiana died on this day. As a young musician, he played with the 'Eureka Brass Band' and the Young Tuxedo Brass Band'. In the 1930's, he was playing with the ERA music program, and in the 1940's he led a band with 'Kid' Avery.
