1973 - Jim Croce, Singer songwriter and guitarist from Philadelphia, PA was killed on this day. He became a superstar with hits like, 'Bad, Bad Leroy Brown', 'You Don't Mess Around With Jim' and 'Time In A Bottle'. Croce and collaborator, Maury Muehleisen were killed in a plane crash in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
