| 1936 - Raymond (Shwank) Monette was born on this day. A guitarist, singer and a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. During his career he recorded with Clifton Chenier, Carol Fran, Joe Tex, and many others. He was inducted into Louisiana Blues Hall Of Fame. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 40. |
