| 1929 - Clarence Ford was born on this day. Saxophonist and native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a longtime member of Fats Domino's band, but played for many others including Bobby Mitchell, Roosevelt Sykes, Snooks Eaglin, Elton John, Aaron Neville, Guitar Slim, Little Richard and so on... He's the grandfather of Thaddeus Ford. He passed away in August of 1994 at the age of 64. |
