| 1960 - Isidore Barbarin, traditional jazz multi-talented musician from New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 87. He was a mainstay with the brass bands in New Orleans, which included the Onward Brass Band, Zenith Brass Band and Bunk's Brass Band. He was the father of famous New Orleans jazz drummers, Paul and Louis Barbarin. He was also the grandfather to the great Danny Barker. |
