1927 - Himas (Flo) Anckle was born on this day. A composer, musician and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a member of the Musicians Union. He played with Bill Sinegal's Band, and was a leader Of Majestic Brass Band. He played with several Jazz Bands including the Eureka Jazz Band and Young Tuxedo Jazz Band. He Co-Authored 'Second Line, Part I And Part II.' Flo passed away on May 16, 1994.
