1899 - Tony Schiro was born on this day. Traditional jazz banjo player from New Orleans, Louisiana. He studied with Johnny St. Cyr and John Marrerro. He played with the Triangle Band, and Sharkey Bonano later in his career. Tony died in New Orleans in 1981.
