1965 - Willie Parker, traditional jazz clarinetist from New Orleans, Louisiana died on this day. He was born in 1875, and began with James A. Palao and the 'Terminal Brass Band' in the early 1900's. In 1920, Willie became a founding member of the 'Eureka Brass Band', and played with the 'Lyons Brass Band'. Willie died in New Orleans.
