1906 - Abby Williams was born on this day. Traditional jazz drummer from New Orleans, Louisiana. In the late twenties, he led the 'Square Deal Social Club Brass Band'. During the 1940's and 1950's heled his own band, 'Abby Williams Happy Pals Brass Band'. Abby died in New Orleans on June 29, 1977.
