1899 - Joseph 'Little Joe' Lindsay was born on this day. Traditional jazz drummer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Besides 'Little Joe', he also went by 'Seefus' and 'Kid' Lindsay. He is said to be the first bandleader to employ Louis Armstrong. During the 1920's he played with the 'Dixie Jazz Band', Bob Lyons and Kid Rena. He also worked in dance halls.
