| 1980 - Davy Mooney was born on this day. A guitarist and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and studied in NOLA under Hank Mackie and Steve Mazakowski. He graduated with a Achelor in Music, and has released a couple of independent CD's. More recently he attended a 2 year internship in New Orleans at the Thelonius Monk Institute. During his short career he's played with Michael and Randy Brecker, The Brian Blade Fellowship and Jeremy Pelt. |
