1952 - Beau Jocque (Andrus Espre) was born on this day. Zydeco accordian player, vocalist and native of Duralde, Louisiana, he was easily the biggest cajun-zydeco star of the 1990's. He added a contemporary flavor to the traditional cajun sound. He passed away on September 10, 1999.
