1970 - Marlon Jordan was born on this day. A trumpeter and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. he a part of a musical family that includes his father Edward "Kidd" Jordan saxophonist, his mother, a classical pianist, brother Kent, a flutist, and sisters violinist Rachel, and jazz singer Stephanie. He graduated from the famed New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts. At age 18, recorded his debut album as a leader, For You Only in 1988. Marlon's fifth album, You Don’t Know What Love Is was recorded in 2005, and features his sister Stephanie Jordan on vocals. |
