| 1909 - Herman E. Johnson was born on this day. A country blues guitarist and singer and a native of Scotlandville, Louisiana. His family were all members of the Baptist church. He's known for being recorded in 1961 by Harry Oster. The recordings were issued on Arhoolie LP 1060. Herman passed away in 1975 at the age of 65. |
