1903 - Noon Johnson was born on this day. Traditional jazz tuba and bazooka player from New Orleans, Louisiana. As a youngster he played on the streets of the Storyville district for coins. He also led a 'skiffle' trio, and paraded with the 'Young Tuxedo Brass Band'. Noon died in New Orleans on September 18, 1969. |
