1984 - Moses (Whispering) Smith, a singer and harmonica player and a native of Mississippi passed away on this day at the age of 52. He spent much of his musical life in Louisiana. In The 1960's he worked with Crowley, Louisiana record producer, J. D. (Jay) Miller, and his music released by Excello Records. His singles included "Mean Woman Blues", "I Tried So Hard", and "Don't Leave Me". |
