1942 - Joe Johnson was born on this day. A swamp blues guitarist, harmonica player and a native of Independence, Louisiana. He frequently worked with Guitar Grady`s Strings Of Rhythm and recorded with the group on the A-Bet label in 1966. He formed his own group and toured the club circuit from 1967-1972, recording for the Cry label.
