1954 - Leigh Harris (Lil' Queenie) was born on this day. A vocalist and a native of New Orleans. She made her name as Lil' Queenie in the band Lil' Queenie and the Percolators. The band was know to have lots of musicians jam with them at different times, and stayed together for about 4 years from 1977-1982. She continued as a solo artist and has released 4 CD's since the early 90's. |
