1972 - Lawrence Toca, traditional jazz trumpeter from New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on this day. He was born in 1900, and was an active player through the 1950's. During his career, he played with Bill Hamilton's Oriental Orchestra, Kid Milton, Polo Barnes and 'Sweet' Emma Barrett. Lawrence died in New Orleans.
