| 1904 - Josiah 'Cie'' Frazier was born on this day. Traditional jazz drummer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He played with the best-known dance bands of the city. Among the legends he performed with were A.J. Piron, Sidney Desvigne, John Robichaux and Papa Celestin. He worked in the 'Young Tuxedo Band' and was associated with 'Sweet' Emma Barrett, the Humphrey Brothers and Billie and Dee Dee Pierce. He passed away in 1985 at the age of 80. |
