1923 - Tom Zimmerman, traditional jazz pianist frm New Orleans, Louisiana died on this day. He was born in 1886, and considered by many as the greatest ragtime piano player of the 'Tango Belt' (clubs surrounding the Storyville district). He played in movie houses in the early 20th century, and with Tony Parenti and Johnny Dedroit in the 1920's.
