| 1902 - Eddie Marrero was born on this day. Traditional jazz string bassist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was from a musical grand family of New Orleans that included brothers John, Lawrence and Simon, and father Billy. Eddie began his musical career in his brother Lawrence's 'Young Tuxedo Orchestra', then played with Chris Kelly's band in the twenties. |
