1950 - John Wesley Ryles was born on this day. A country singer and native of Bastrop, Louisiana. He made his debut in 1968 with the single "Kay", a Top Ten hit. He later recorded one album, Reconsider Me, for the Plantation label. He released a few albums and singles through 1988, then became a backup artist.
