1898 - Albert 'Loochie' Jackson was born on this day. Traditional jazz trombonist from New Orleans, Louisiana. Started his career with the Elton Theodore Orchestra from Algiers, Louisiana. He played infrequently with the Tuxedo Brass Band. He began with the 'Young Tuxedo Brass Band' in 1932 and played with them until he retired. 'Loochie' passed away on March 3, 1978.
