1896 - Anatie 'Natty' Dominique was born on this day. Traditional jazz trumpeter from New Orleans, Louisiana. His family moved to Chicago when he was young, but played sparingly in New Orleans before that time. He is mainly known for his ties with the Dodds brothers in Chicago. Played with Johnny Dodd's at Kelly's Stables in the mid-twenties. He was the uncle of trumpeter Don Albert. He passed away at the age of 86 in 1982.
