2005 - King Karl (Bernard Jolivette), a guitarist, vocalist and native of Grand Coteau, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 73. As a young musician he played for a short time for Lloyd Price in 1952. After he served in the military. he hooked up with Guitar Gable which lasted until the mid to late sixties. His writing credits include staples "Irene," "Life Problem," and "This Should Go On Forever". He moved to Arizona in 1992, and a musical career resurgence in the mid-nineties.
