| 1973 - Frank Banasinga, jazz pianist from Jacksonville, Illinois passed away on this day. He played in the University of Illinois campus bands early in his career. He moved to New Orleans and ran the New Orleans Jazz Club. Through the 1950's he played with the top jazz musicians in New Orleans and died there. |
