1915 - Henry 'Hank' Kmen was born on this day. Jazz clarinetist, saxophonist and vocalist from Saratoga Springs, New York. He was experienced in traditional and big band jazz before coming to New Orleans as a Professor at Tulane University. During the sixties, he played with the Crawford-Ferguson Night Owls. He died on September 22, 1978 in New Orleans.
