1969 - Lemon Nash, traditional jazz banjoist, guitarist and vocalist from Lakeland, Louisiana passed away on this day. He was born in 1898, and began his musical career on banjo with Pete Williams. He also worked with Noon Johnson, but was primarily a solo entertainer. Additionally, he was a music teacher at Morris Music Company. Lemon died in New Orleans.
