| 1962 - Jon Cleary was born on this day. An accomplished pianist, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter and a native of Cranbrook in Kent, England. He is mostly a funk and R&B musician, an adopted son and based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has performed with a number of music legeds including Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Ryan Adams, and Eric Burdon. Cleary has recorded with Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt and most recently John Scofield on his album, Piety Street. Cleary has recorded as Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, who have two current albums. Cleary has three solo albums. |
