| 1938 - Ralph Johnson was born on this day. A clarinetist and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. During his career he played with Jerry Butler, the Impressions, Dr. John, Wallace Davenport, Johnny Adams, Chuck Carbo and many others. During the last 20 years of his life he performed with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. he passed away at the age of 71 in December 2009. |
