1946 - August Boussard was born on this day. A multi-instrumentalist who plays the accordion, guitar, steel guitar, harmonica, and fiddle, and is a native of Westlake, Louisiana. During his career he's played with John Oliver's Louisiana Ramblers, Bobby Leger's Lake Charles Playboys, Milford Simon's Hicks Wagon Wheel Ramblers, and Lesa Cormier and the Sundown Playboys. In 1995, the Lake Charles chapter of the Cajun French Music Association inducted Broussard into its Hall of Fame.
