1974 - Lightnin' Slim (Otis Hicks) 'Swamp Blues' singer and guitarist for the Louisiana label, Excello passed away on this day at the age of 61. He was the brother-in-law of fellow Excello recording artist, Slim Harpo, and recorded the R&B hit 'Rooster Blues'.
