| 1937 - Guitar Gable (Gabriel Perrodin) was born on this day. A guitarist and a native of Bellevue, Louisiana. He recorded for Jay Miller with his band the Musical Kings in mid fifties, and had a few successful singles on Excello Records. His two first hits were "Congo Mombo" and "Life Problem". Gable's band became the heart of Miller's studio group. He stopped recording for Miller around 1959 and began playing scant live gigs. |
