1988 - Emanuel Paul, traditional jazz violinist, banjoist and saxophonist from New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 84. He began playing music in a church group, and played saxophone during the Depression years. In the early forties, he played with T-Boy Remy, and began playing with the Eureka Brass Band around the same time. He also joine the Kid Thomas band in 1942, and played with both band for the following twenty years.
