1954 - Steve Pistorius was born on this day. Traditional jazz pianist from Port Sulpher, Louisiana. He is well-known as a specialist in classic piano rags, and earned the nickname of 'Creole Kid'. During the 1970's he worked on Bourbon Street, and the riverboats 'Admiral' and 'Robert E. Lee'. He's also known for his participation in the 'Louisiana Repertory Jazz Ensemble' with Fred Starr.
