1910 - Matthew 'Fats' Houston was born on this day. Traditional jazz drummer from New Orleans, Louisiana. 'Fats' was well known as the grand marshal of the 'Eureka Brass Band'. He also was the co-leader of a dance band with Louis Dumaine in the thirties. He died on February, 25 1981.
