1928 - (Luscious) Lloyd Lambert was born on this day. A legendary bass player and native of Thibodeaux, Louisiana. He worked with the likes of Ray Charles, Little Richard, Danny Barker and Doc Cheatham during his career. He is the grandfather of blues guitarist Kipori Woods and raised him. He passed away in 1995 at 67.
