1992 - Boogie Woogie Red (Vernon Harrison), a blues, boogie-woogie and jazz pianist, singer and songwriter, and a native of Rayville, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 66. During his career he worked with with Sonny Boy Williamson, Lonnie Johnson, Tampa Red, John Lee Hooker, Memphis Slim and others. He recorded his own albums in 1974 and 1977, and toured Europe that same decade.
