1906 - Stirling Bose was born on this day. Traditional jazz cornetist from Florence, Alabama. He played with New Orleans bandleader, Norman Brownlee and the Crescent City Jazzers. After stints with these bands, he mainsly played in swing bands until he died in St. Petersburg, Florida in June of 1958.
