1922 - Clarence Samuels was born on this day. A blues shouter and a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He recorded for the Chess Brothers' Aristocrat Records label in Chicago and became know for his sides called "Chicken Hearted Woman", "Hey Joe" and "Boogie Woogie Blues".
