1999 - Albert "Lil June" Gardner, a drummer and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on this day. Like his father Albert "Gentleman June" Gardner, he took up the drums. During his career he played with Fats Domino, the Neville Brothers, Professor Longhair, Raymond Myles and Irma Thomas. He passed away at the age of 48.
