1936 - Buddy Guy was born on this day. Legendary blues guitarist from Lettsworth, LA. He worked in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a teen before moving to Chicago to perform. He's recorded for many labels during his career, and performed with most blues legends of the 50's and 60's. Among them were Otis Rush and Junior Wells, and He's been revered by later guitarists like Jimi Henddrix, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. He's known as the undisputed king of the blues guitar and has collected 3 Grammy's along the way..
