1894 - Edward Harry 'Mose' Ferrer was born on this day. Traditional jazz pianist and violinist from Biloxi, Mississippi. He was a member of a New Orleans musical family that included his brother, Frank. He was one of the 'Invincibles' and a founding member of the sparingly recorded 'New Orleans Owls'. 'Mose' left New Orleans in the early 1900's to join Tom Brown's band in Chicago and played until the mid-twenties.
