1947 - Lester A. Caliste was born on this day. Traditional jazz trombonist from New Orleans, Louisiana. Lester was the grand nephew of early legendary cornetist, Buddy Petit. During his musical career, he played with the Olympia Brass Band and the Young Tuxedo Brass Band.
