1976 - J. B. (Jean Batiste) Fuselier, a cajun fiddler and a native of Oberlin, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 75. He's most remembered for his tune "Ma Chere Bassette." In the 1930s, he recorded many records with Victor Records under banjoist Beethoven Miller's Merrymakers. After that, he played for many years with the group J. B. and His Merrymakers.
