1934 - Milton J. Batiste was born on this day. Traditional jazz trumpeter from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the leader of Dejan's Olympia Brass Band and founder of the Olympia Juniors. Milton died in New Orleans at the age of 66 on March 29, 2001.
